Updates Galore
As you can see, Ive been updating the page and changing the look. I wish this was the excuse as to why I haven't written in a while, but alas, it is not. Sorry if you came here looking for an update and didn't find one. Hmm, the cigarrette smoke from people sitting outside downstairs is drifting in the window, trying to entice my body to develop some sort of deadly cancer down the road and go undetected for years. Or I could just close the window, but then I wouldn't be getting all of that fresh air, would I?
I am going to try to start putting up some pictures somewhere on the site, and I put up a special surprise on the hobby page. We'll see when I have time to get around to the pictures.
Bats, Tape, and Kicking of Dwarves (while drinking a malt)
That would pretty much sum up Friday. Well, actually Friday (last) night. Today I think I just might burst from eating a heap of lip smackin' finger lickin' Italian food (oh, wait, that's fried chicken. Damn). And now I am so tired and full, I just want to go to sleep. Good night (shooot, it's only 7:41).
Moving On...
I'm a little depressed seeing everyone pack up their stuff and get ready to go home. I know I will see them all next year, but it won't be the same, we will all be in different places (not on the same floor anymore) and some not even the same classes to attend with. It is exciting to be done with our first year of school, but it went so fast, if the pace keeps up, we will be saying goodbye at graduation and see each other much less, and actually have to get jobs. But I will see Kathy again; she's promised that I can do a voice in one of her animated films, and I better get to sing, dammit! JK, but I will hold her to at least the voice...
The Great Weekend
This weekend was one of the best this year, with Eric here, and hanging out with friends, and going to Brad's house and reading the soap opera, and having a stomach ache from eating so much food, then laughing for four hours. And the Swedish breakfast, and AK's accidental song. But now everthing I typed looks to me likes it's spelled very wrongly, so I'll stop here. If you were there, you know what I mean. OK, I'm stopping now. :)
Yayness
Eric is coming today, a day later than originally planned, but it just might work out better this way. I think we'll be hanging around with the dorm mates a lot, since there are a lot of thing we are going to be doing with them. A good chance for everyone to meet him and give him a hard time. I can't believe it's already Friday.
Time For Homecoming
I'm leaving today to go home, see my parents and grandparents. My mother told me that the Easter bunny has visited the house, so I guess I'll find out what that means. Either I'll come back with a long-lasting sugar high, or I'll come back with a bit heavier bag, I'm not sure which. Maybe both, and I'll spred the sugar high to other dorm mates. Then we can be Bailey's Buzz Floor.
By the way, Vicky is still our candidate for Queen, we just have to overthrow the present family, and Vicky can start a new family. But that might mean her whole family has to move to England. Hmm... It's just a small sacrifice for the throne, don't you think?
Queen of England is Now Open
Vicky called her parents this morning and her mother won't allow her to marry into such a troubled family. We still think their kids would have been cute!! Vicky would still like the tip to England, so still send funding to me so I can arrange it. AK informed me that her friend from La Jolla would like to marry William, though. We can concentrate our efforts on her becoming Queen; that is if an Baileyites don't want it first (they have first priority, connections of Baileyites have second priority). If you don't know what the hell I'm talking about, for goodness sake, go read Randomness Journal right now!
(Go check out the new addition to Inspiration, too.)
MN Students Take Over World's Monarchies!
Haven't you ever wanted to become King or Queen of a country? Well, we are starting a campaign, I wrote all about it in the journal.
Arg. I come back from break and our dorm is still over taken.
Now we have lovely melon orange colored piping in our rooms and hallways to look at if we ever need something odd to look at. And the glasses in the cafeteria shrunk and we can see water spot all over them!! When I find out who was responsible for this, they will be hearing from my lawyers, so there.
I probably won't be able to work on anything until after Spring Break, so if you don't come back until then, I'll forgive you.
Welcome to Repair Central!
Formally know as Bailey Hall on the St. Paul campus, in honor of all the projects currently in progress in the building, and the many more things that need repairs. The workers on our floor (they told me they would wake me up at about 9 tomorrow, and I was hoping to sleep in) are installing the sprinkler system, downstairs they are working on something above the ceiling tiles, and they just moved the soap dispenser in the girl's bathroom on 4E so we have to walk to the middle sinks (there are 8 total) just to get soap. They must have thought the far sinks being neglected and ignored, so now we have to use them unless we relocate once getting soap from a dispenser. So from now on (well, this week at least) I live in REPAIR CENTRAL, not Bailey Hall. So if you don't mind, I need to change my address on a few things.
Only one Week Away!
In exactly one week, AK, Misty, Anna and I will be on our way to San Diego, CA. I can't wait. I am sad that I can't see Eric over spring break, but it is California, where it's like 75 degrees, whereas it's like 38 here. And when will I ever get a chance to take a road trip with my college friends across the country?
Watch out California, here we come!!
Snow rape?
If anyone read my journal, you would know that I asked for help on the snow mystery...it just disappears in some spots, while it is still 3 feet high in others. Kathy has suggested that the Land care people have decided to send big, smelly men out in the middle of the night to rape it (wow, rape and condoms on the same page, hmm...Kathy senses a theme). Her definition of rape: to violate the being of the snow. It apparently, although unconfirmed, is taken behind the barns here on the SP campus. There it is abandoned in a huge pile and left for the attack of spring to overwhelm it until it is completely gone. She also suspects that it is spread on the sidewalks, just so she has to shovel it. (Blasted smelly night-men!) This is the only theory I've gotten so far, but if you have an idea, let me know.
Condom, anyone?
For those of you not from Bailey 4E and took the survey, there is a story behind the female condom. Alyssa, the girl who is infatuated with soulmmates, wanted a female condom. Our CA promised her one, but it didn't come and it didn't come, so (Michigan) Sarah's boyfriend got one for her. We had a grand ceremony in the hallway, with press (AK and her new camera, Kathy...) and she opened it, only to find it a slimy, sock-like thing (they are really huge). She didn't know what to do with it, so she put it on our CA's doorknob. Our CA was thrilled; her friend told the whole story in her class the next day, and I hear she turned a few shades of red.
So, yes, beware the female condoms! They just might be coming to a doorknob near you.
